I'm off to the Conway Wargames Club monthly meet tomorrow at the Colwyn Sea Sports Association. I haven't been to a club game in 15 odd years and I'll have 2 games to choose from, a 15mm Napoleonic General De Brigade game or a 28mm Dark Ages Dux Bellorum game.
Of course, as you can tell from this blog, I have gamed a lot in between time but this is the first time in a while, not counting show participation games where I get to turn up without bring terrain or figures to play.
I have played General De Brigade and prefer Black Powder, but I haven't played Dux Bellorum and fancy giving these rules a go.
Right I'm off to sharpen my seax.
Musings and ramblings of a wargamer who has decided to share my many photos of games played, shows visited and places of interest I've been too. I will first get all the photos loaded then I'll revisit and write up my notes, or more likely delve my memory. Plus over time I also want to write up scenario details of the games I've played and share new gaming ideas.

Now Miniature Wargames catches The Megalomaniac on camera!
Another upstanding wargames magazine has captured my visage. This time not at a show but at Battle Groups Ponyri weekend. I, and everyone else can be seen on page 42. This time I have been caught wearing something more fetching as I am sporting a Last Exit to Nowhere Obi Wan club T-shirt (inspired by Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom). I find black such a thinning colour!
The eagle eyed will notice that the man of the match photos have had their labels reversed, luckily they are holding up their certificates with their real names on.
It was a great weekend, I enjoyed all 3 of my defeats to the Soviet hordes.

The Megalomaniac spotted in Wargames Soldiers and Strategy Magazine
Fame at last. I spotted myself on page 61 of this months Wargames Soldier and Strategy magazine in the photograph at the top of the page. It was taken at this years Other Partizan. I am the chap stood at the bottom of Simon Millers great, huge, Ancients game with the red rucksack, surprising bald looking spot on the crown and fetching shorts and white socks. I think I may need to be reviewed by the fashion police before stepping outside of the house!
