Tambo Colorado, Chile 2004 - Inca way station

Here's what Wikipedia says. This place was impressive, and the closest I got to the Andes.

I visited here in 2004. I found it very stunning as it's a large site. It feels ancient but isn't really compared to some European sites. I loved walking along the Inca road and seeing a house where the conquistadors stayed it really connects you with history - in my over active imagination it does anyway.
