Black Powder Rebellion!

I have been very much enjoying the Black Powder American War of Independence supplement 'Rebellion!'. I think it the best one Warlord Games have produced so far for these rules. The book contains a good overview of the history and the main campaigns, plus includes a wealth of details on organisation and uniforms. In fact regardless of the scenarios and lists the book together with the rule book is almost a one stop shop to go out and buy, paint and play this great period.

I say great period, it was not until I read an article on the battle of Manhattan (my description rather than perhaps histories) then this supplement that I realised that it could be fun to play. I mean the chance to change history and keep America British and the potential for parliamentary change in the UK as a result.

I inherited the start of any army for both sides I'll dust them off and see what I need to finish them off.

Derby World Wargames 2014

I've decided to skip this years show to continue sorting out the house after the move. Yes we finally moved! The majority of the troops and impedimenta have been found and look ok. Just as important I have found time to check I have what I need for the upcoming Ponyri campaign. The check proved that indeed I have missing elements to my force but I own them and they just need making and painting, with paints I have also located. All this helped in my decision to skip the show. I'll miss the great games to look at which always provide inspiration and chatting to traders. I hope lots of photos are put up on blogs!

... now back to sorting the house and finding the box with my German radio truck and combat medic set.

Crooked Dice Ecto1

While at Partizan I spoke to Crooked Dice regarding producing a suitable vehicle for their ghost hunters. Unfortunately it seems it wouldn't make sound economic sense to do it when they can produce other more profitable goodness. I was happy with that answer plus the helpful tips where to get a suitable vehicle. I haven't searched yet but apparently there are plenty of suitable die cast models out there.
